The chief minister of Meghalaya introduced a new scholarship scheme for students in October 2025. Now all the students who have registered for the scheme and are eligible as per government guidelines have received the Meghalaya CM Scholarship Scheme amount on March 6. As per the government announcement, they provide the scholarship benefit to around 1 lakh students in Meghalaya. The last date for the application was 31st October 2025. Meghalaya CM Scholarship Scheme 2026
The chief minister of Meghalaya has officially launched the scholarship for class 11 through the PhD level in August 2025. After the announcement, lakhs of students have already applied for the scheme and are studying in both private and public institutions. As per the government target, they will provide the benefit of this annually to more than 70000 students, for which they have allocated around 48 crore rupees annually.
The government also provide the details of the application on their dedicated Meghalaya one portal, where students have already registered and submitted their application from 1st September. Now the application process is closed. Around 1 lakh students have already received the scholarship for the financial year 2025 26. All The Eligible students will get the scholarship amount directly into their bank accounts.
