Fish Rice Canteen Scheme, Check Menu For Rs 5 Maach Bhaat in West Bengal

After the BJP party came into power in West Bengal, they have released so many welfare schemes for the poor and economically weaker families. The government has recently made the announcement for the fish rice canteen scheme, where they will provide Maach Bhaat at just rupees 5. The Chief Minister of West Bengal announced the scheme on 27th May for all the poor people who can’t afford the expensive food. During the announcement, they mentioned that Rs 5 meals will be available at more than 400 canteens in West Bengal. These subsidised canteens will serve meals, including Maach Bhaat or Fish Rice, Dal, and Vegetables, to the people of West Bengal. The timing of these canteens is 12:30 pm and 3:00 PM in the West Bengal State.

Previously, Mamata Banerjee had launched the Maa Canteen in 2021, which also served the fish rice Dal vegetable egg curry at a very low subsidised rate. In the recent announcement, they have mentioned that the government will continue the Maa canteen in West Bengal and provide fish rice at rupees 5 to all the people in the state.  The government will soon release the guidelines for the fish rice canteen in West Bengal. The government will provide the facility of a canteen to those who want to operate these maach bhaat canteens in West Bengal state.

You can operate the canteen at many locations in West Bengal. The government will soon release the new menu for these canteens, where thousands of people will be served with delicious food. The newly elected BJP Chief Minister want to provide full support for the Bengali traditional food culture. That’s why the government introduced affordable fish rice canteens in the Different cities of West Bengal. The scheme was officially announced before the Assembly election on 22 May.

The West Bengal government will release the tender for the applicants who want to operate these canteens in the state. Right now, the government has only made the announcement that they will open around 400 canteens in the State.
