The chief minister of Assam is continuously working towards the upliftment of womens who are not financially stable. The state is continuously working for women’s empowerment and providing them with financial support under its various government welfare schemes. Today, we are going to discuss one search initiative by the government named MMUA “Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan, Assam.

The scheme was officially launched by the government on 1st April 2025. During the launch, the government provides rupees 10000 for the women in the first year as financial support to start there self employment journey. The main aim of the government is to help more than 30 lakh women in the state and make them financially independent. This is the initial target of the state. Right now, in 2026, the government is distributing the financial benefit to the women, and more than 70 lakh women have already received it. MMUA Scheme Assam 2026

The women of Assam will get financial assistance in three stages under the scheme. In January 2026, the Chief Minister released the first stage fund to more than 50000 women. All the women entrepreneurs under the scheme are benefited with rupees 10000 during the distribution process. MMUA women’s welfare schemes and to empower the women so that they can earn some money for their families. Scheme help to apply the rural household women so that in the coming years the state will become a woman-developed state and improve the economic status.

The scheme also promotes small-scale entrepreneurship and startups that are looking for funding. On 10th November 2025, the government distributed financial assistance to the women from Dhubri. Recently, Jalukbari Women’s Got MMUA Funds from the CM in March 2026. During the event, the Chief Minister also explained the three stages of mmua scheme for the women, especially self-help groups. He explained how the women can start a microentrepreneur business and have the target to achieve an annual income of Rs 100000. Financial Assistance Distribution

All the women beneficiaries under the scheme will get the amount in three stages.:

1. Seed Capital: This is the first stage where the women will get rupees 10000 from the state government.
2. The second instalment will only transfer when the women utilise the seed capital amount in the right direction. In the second installment women will get Rs 25000, which includes Rs 12500 from the bank and Rs 12500 from the government as a grant. The women will get the bank loan at a subsidised interest rate.
3. Now coming to the third installment which will be transferred and distributed only into the bank account of successful entrepreneur women. In the third installment women will get Rs 50000 for their business.

Eligibility Needed

• All the women of Assam self-help groups are eligible for the scheme.
• The women should belong to Assam state only.
• The annual income of the applicant should not exceed more than rupees 1 lakh.
• The government provide the funds only for the small and micro entrepreneurs.
• The moment should not be deferred from the self-help group or any bank.
• The women with more than three children belong to the general OBC; SHG are not eligible.
• Women belonging to the tea garden community, SC/ST, Matak, Moran, with more than four children, en are also not eligible.
• Those who are having two children need to provide a declaration for the restriction on the number of children.
• The women who are applying for the scheme must have a business plan to use the money.

Application Details

• The application process is totally offline, and all the women need to visit their nearest Panchayat office.
• The panchayat office officials provide you with the application form.
• The entrepreneurship fund will be given to those women who willify for the verification process of the application.
• You need to submit the application form with the 2 Sankalp Patras (girl-child enrollment in the school and restriction on the number of children).
• Once you attach all the documents to the application form, submit the application form offline on the specified date.
• Make sure you submit the original application form; no photocopies will be accepted.
