The name of the scheme is “Swami Vivekananda Assam Youth Empowerment” The scheme was officially introduced by the government in 2017. In 2020, the government opposed the launch of this scheme to provide self-employment opportunities. The youth of Assam who want to start their business, but due to a lack of financial support, are not able to do so. To tackle this situation in Assam, the government provide financial support to the youth so that they can start their business and other income-generating sources in the service sector, trading, and manufacturing. The government implement the SVAYEM Scheme Assam in all the districts, where they will provide the loan facility to new and old Enterprises.
The government provides a loan of up to rupees 2 lakh. This is a good initiative by the Assam government to generate employment opportunities by setting up new Enterprises and helping the existing ones to grow better. SVAYEM Scheme Assam 2026
Swami Vivekanand asamij empowerment scheme was announced by the Chief Minister in the 2017 budget, and recently the Union Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, highlighted the scheme under the 2016 Assam Assembly Elections. He mentioned that social welfare and youth empowerment. The scheme not only helps to expand the Enterprises and other businesses but also generates employment facilities for people in rural and urban areas. At the time, the government has sanctioned around 1000 crore under the scheme, where they will provide rupees 50000 to the selected beneficiary who wants to start their ventures. The youth with an existing business will get rupees 2 lakh as financial support from the state government. All the permanent residents of Assam are eligible for the scheme.

The industries and Commerce Department will be the nodal department for the scheme at the DLCClcc, and the district industry will help to implement the scheme. All the public and private sectors, including regional rural banks, help the youth to get financial aid. The applicant who gets the loan from the bahasave gets 3 to 7 years for the repayment of the loan amount. Benefits

Eligibility Criteria
- Those who are above 18 years of age and belong to Assam are eligible.
- There is no incomplete form made for the applicants.
- The applicant must have income-generating skills, experience, and knowledge.
- The minimum education qualification for the appling and is at least VII Standard.
- The applicant should not be a defaulter with any bank before submitting their application.
- Those who are on the PMEGP beneficial list or are not eligible for the scheme.
- The applicant with a prior skill development training certificate will get the preference under the scheme.

- Firstly, all applicants need to open the industries.assam.gov.in Portal.

- You can download the application form PDF and fill in all the details regarding your business, and finally sign the declaration and undertaking.
- At last, attach documents like proof of Identity (self-attested copy of voter’s ID card/ driving licence/ aadhar card/ pan card/ passport).
- Also attached is the document of business proof and identity license, registration certificate, ate which shows the ownership identity and address of the business unit.
- The applicant needs to submit the application form online along with all the documents mentioned here.
- Once you submit your application, it will be verified by the DICC.
- After verification, they will forward your application to the district-level committee for further approval.
- The district-level committee, after its final approval, sends your application to the bank.
- Then the bank approves your loan after assessing the proposal.
- It will take 30 days for the proposal to be sanctioned by the bank, and within the next 5 days, ays they will release the loan to the beneficiaries.
- The beneficiaries can claim the subsidy given by the government under the scheme.
